Many friends I have lost
in those pacific waters of my mind,
where memories and moments intertwine,
a thousand miles below.
And where I fear I will drown.
Days turn into nights, nights into days.
I, under the bright red horizon
of the southern hemisphere,
can see for miles as I gaze from my vessel,
scanning for life,
a thousand miles below.

Thanks! I wrote that in 2005. Almost 10 years ago! Time gets away from us, faster than we like sometimes.
